Command-Line-Scanner: Scan Engine „to go”
Scan your files for infections on any operating system, simple and quick – activate the command line interface, perform a scan on the requested directory and receive the results.
The results can also be processed further if necessary, e.g. automatic delete could be initiated. With the IKARUS cmd.scan you can also create your own Live rescue CDs. The possibilities are endless, there are no limits.
IKARUS cmd.scan can be used by every operating system, since every system can communicate with the program through a command line. Designate a pathway to be scanned and you will quickly know whether or not there is infected data in a selected directory.
No installation is required – the program is quickly and easily accessed with a command line. With storage requirement of only 200MB IKARUS cmd.scan can easily be taken along on a USB flash drive or on a CD, allowing other units to be scanned for infections. A “scan” and an “update” program are available, in addition the virus data bank and the license information file are stored in the folder.
Note that the IKARUS cmd.scan does not provide automatic protection – data checks can be triggered either manually or via scripts. Similarly, updates to new virus data banks are performed manually or script-controlled using the “update” feature.
