Austrian Universities Move Toward European Endpoint Security with Data Sovereignty

As part of a large-scale SOC tender for Austrian universities, HarfangLab Guard feat. IKARUS has been selected as a European endpoint security platform within the awarded SOC framework. The tender defines a 24/7 operating model with clearly structured service tiers – ranging from monitoring and analysis to advanced incident response services such as isolation and containment, threat hunting, and forensic analysis.

The contract for SOC operations was awarded to IKARUS Managed Service Partner ACP.

HarfangLab Guard feat. IKARUS combines Endpoint Protection (EPP) with the integrated IKARUS Malware Scan Engine and Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR), optionally complemented by Attack Surface Management (ASM). This provides organizations with preventive protection (pre-execution blocking) as well as fast, structured response capabilities for professional SOC workflows. The ACP SOC in Austria enhances operations through local implementation, with a strong focus on compliance and data sovereignty.
