Features

Server features and improvements

  • Android devices can now use device-based managed Google Play accounts. This is also the new default setting.
  • The device-based Managed Google Play account type has been added to the device reports.
  • Implemented a new condition: ‘Device is activated’. This condition checks that devices are both enrolled and have completed all activation steps.
  • It is now possible to use a ‘mandatory’ app list as the basis for creating a Kiosk list.
  • The “Web Content Filter” iOS restriction has been improved and now validates entered URLs.
  • Android devices using managed Google Play accounts can now be added to the device pool.
  • Improved Kiosk config app selection view.
  • The device edit page is now available for valid devices in the device pool. You can now update the device information for such devices without having to assign them to a user first.
  • New functionality: the option to configure an email warning when a job script is disabled by the system due to consecutive failures in script execution.
  • Implemented APN override function and related configuration changes for Android, allowing alternative APNs to be used on managed devices.

Fixes

  • Reimplemented iOS profile encryption.
  • The Multiuser Logout App has been added to the “Newer Version available” condition app list.
  • New functionality in the ‘Device’ -> ‘Installations’ tab: an additional button to trigger updates for all listed apps with available updates.
  • Updated lists of Apple products and model labels.
  • Duplicate phone numbers are now allowed by default in all instances.
  • Improved the speed at which the LDAP attribute list is fetched for mapping.
  • MDM Client will now report Kiosk status to the MDM server immediately.
  • Updated labels now correctly indicate when a device status change is waiting for Google EMM confirmation.
  • Fixed an issue where, when clearing device data, the UI navigated to the user instead of the now-cleared device.
  • Fixed an issue where the internal default interval for many job scripts was set to an incorrect 10 minutes.
  • Improved Kiosk config app selection view.
  • Unified and improved file commands in the Devices Actions tab and Operations.
  • The attestation status field can now be clicked to open a pop-up window with additional information if it has any.
  • VPP Country is now a required field when defining VPP settings.
  • Improved CSV report. Upload and import are now disabled while an import is already running, to prevent any concurrency issues from occurring in the same window.
  • Fixed an issue where the cost field in an application would not be saved.
  • Added missing French translation file.
  • Fixed an issue where the ‘Connections’ checkbox in the ‘Dashboard Settings’ view was considered a subset of the ‘Warnings’ checkbox.
  • Fixed issues when applications could not be created via a package URL.
  • UI improvements have been made to the OS Update elements in the dashboard.
  • Fixed display issues with new additions to the device summary information.
  • Fixed a bug in DEP where a device could not be re-added in the next DEP sync after re-assignment.
  • Fixed an issue with the logic for automatically resizing columns in reports, which was not working consistently when data was changed or loaded.
  • Fixed issues with package definition from URL where improvements to app creation previously added did not work.
  • Fixed an issue with newer Chrome browsers where some buttons were abnormally reduced in size.
  • Fixed an issue where macOS devices were incorrectly considered valid devices for Check Point Harmony Mobile integration.
  • Fixed an issue where unassigned DEP devices remained in the wrong status if the DEP account was changed before their status could be synced.
  • Adapted inventory fields and commands to support the reimplementation of MacOS support.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the app version update script from updating macOS apps linked from the App Store.
  • Added an explanation to the profile content preview window stating that it is not possible to preview installed encrypted profile content.
  • Fixed an issue where the wrong status was considered when deciding whether the restricted management pop-up was available in the device inventory view.
  • Added system apps to the list of apps available in the Apple Home Screen Editor.
  • Fixed the status order in the Connections tab of the dashboard.
  • Added a missing error message when no apps are selected in the ‘Newer version available’ condition.
  • Fixed an issue where data loading did not cause column resizing at the right time.
  • Fixed an issue in the UI where the checkbox to show only outdated apps could appear when all the outdated apps had already been updated or deleted.
  • Fixed an issue where jobs with invalid start times could not be edited.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the macOS app VPP license count from being displayed in the UI.
