Important notes

  • The “Newer version available” condition will exclude Android devices with Android versions lower 8 when updating to MDM client version 6.10 due to compatibility limitations.
  • The “Deprecated MDM clients” field in Dashboard > Warnings has been updated and now shows clients older as 6.08 as deprecated.

Features

Server features

  • Multiple checks for ID format in application packages in Infrastructure > Applications have been added.
  • When deleting administrator accounts the name of the selected account will be displayed in the confirmation dialog.
  • MDM now displays information about available firmware updates for Android devices.
  • MDM Enabler functionality can be used for CSV imported Android devices in device pool.
  • eID (eUCCID) display for iOS devices in device inventory has been added. Additional backend features have been added as well.
  • Fetching application information from Google Play has been improved in Infrastructure > Applications.
  • Warning has been added when trying to delete an approved Android app.
  • Added a new type of report: Reports > Monitoring > Outdated iOS Apps
  • The package ID for (web)apps in Infrastructure > Managed Google Play can now be displayed.
  • Drag & Drop functionality for Kiosk app list grid has been added.
  • “Update app versions”- and “Apple OS Update”-scripts have been added to all existing instances if not already present.
  • New iOS OS update functionality has been implemented. One can now choose between deploying the latest version of the current OS or the next major OS.
  • Full support for Android SafetyNet has been implemented.
  • Errors in device history are now colour coded to be more distinguishable.
  • “Work Profile on Company Owned” has been added to the platform selection in Operations and Reports.
  • A ring function has been added for Android devices. Requires 6.10 MDM client.
  • Apple Push certificate serial number can now directly be seen in Settings > Apple.
  • Users that are members of a “deleted from”-group are now highlighted in a distinct colour.
  • An option to hide personal data when creating a report via mail in operations has been added.
  • It is now possible to display a QR code to the MDM client download URL.
  • The AppStorage can now be used in WPCO and WP devices.

Minor adaptions

  • Japanese error and audit message translations were improved.
  • DEP device movement between tenants has been changed.
  • “Apple VPP Sync”-script default execution interval has been matched to the recommended interval in the description.
  • Refresh animations for certain UI areas have been improved.
  • Selected DEP profile for DEP devices has been improved and now the proper profile will always be displayed.
  • Default androidEnrollmentType for CSV import has been changed to “Device Owner”, if not specified.
  • Certificate reports are now also including Android devices.
  • SMS gateway provider “Nexmo” has been renamed to “Vonage” in Settings > Connections.
  • Shared iPads:
    • New online authentication grace period setting was added.
    • Added support for providing suggested autocomplete domains for user login for Shared iPad configuration.
  • Updated labels and description for eSIM restrictions.
  • Tenant names are now case sensitive.
  • Removed unnecessary columns in Dashboard > Samsung Knox warnings
  • A length check for IMEI and MDM ID has been added.
  • As per Apple guidelines, it is no longer possible to send Clear Passcode action to devices in Lost Mode.
  • LDAP settings are now populated with example values.
  • Added a status comment column for failed executed actions on iOS devices.
  • LDAP Sync scripts on “Global” level have been removed and will no longer be creatable on that level.
  • Added supported platform description for Android “Auto time required” restriction.
  • Removed “system apps enabled/disabled” checkbox for pre-registered KME devices as this feature is not supported by Samsung for this enrollment method.

  • Fixed an issue where the Kiosk configuration was not applicable for non-Samsung devices.
  • Fixed an issue with missing values for “Password compliant” in “Assigned devices” report.
  • Fixed an issue with incorrect platform symbols in restrictions.
  • Fixed an issue with display of operators in reports on iOS.
  • Fixed an issue with inconsistent column names for operator.
  • Fixed an issue with the “back” button in reports.
  • Fixed an issue with unhelpful error message when an object would be selected that no longer exists.
  • Fixed an issue with the Wi-Fi tethering restriction.
  • Fixed an issue with the “Heartbeat”-script did not include Android devices using the legacy client.
  • Fixed an issue with the line break for large numbers in Dashboard fields.
  • Fixed an issue with duplicated app version entries in device history.
  • Fixed an issue where “auto update policy” settings were displayed on non-eligible devices.
  • Fixed an issue with the “Backup to Google cloud” restriction
  • Fixed an issue with the Google Play Store country selector in Infrastructure > Applications.
  • Fixed an issue where the Knox Service Plugin configuration was available for iOS devices.
  • Fixed an issue when trying to add the Samsung specific contact app to kiosk list.
  • Fixed an issue with dedicated devices and CSV import.
  • Fixed an issue with empty custom report view not being saved.
  • Fixed some issues with the two-factor-authentication.
  • Fixed an issue with falsely displaying a DEP error in certain situations.
  • Fixed an issue with the kiosk icon mask.
  • Fixed an issue with the “belongs to Zero Touch” condition.
  • Fixed an issue with the “hide empty” option in configurations still displaying some empty options.
  • Fixed an issue where clicking the Lost Mode button did not refresh the page properly.
  • Fixed an issue that prevented certain ownership values from being selected on Global level.
  • Fixed an issue with a wrong label for “do not disturb” on iOS devices.
  • Fixed an issue with the search function in the “is in the device list”-condition in Operations.
  • Fixed an issue where “virus found” also returned non eligible devices.
