Malware Analyst (m/f)

Junior/Senior, part or full time position based in Vienna

As one of the industry leaders in Software Security Products, IKARUS has restructured the whole product-development lifecycle and is even more on the right track to shape the international IT security landscape. To support our clients to stay safe and to improve the detection coverage of our software we are looking forward to add your talent to our team.

Your mission:

  • Find effective ways for detecting new malware
  • Analyze new trends in viruses to capture the important features
  • Automate the analysis and signature creation
  • Help us to build a dynamic analysis environment
  • Improve our anomaly detection systems and research better solutions

Your qualifications:

  • Understanding of malware intrusion vectors and different file formats
  • Experience with analysis tools (hex editors, debuggers, IDA Pro)
  • Expertise with Python and SQL
  • Big plus: knowledge of machine learning, algorithms and C++
  • You are driven by challenges and have an endless curiosity concerning problem solving
