Features and adaptations

• New OS update actions “Enforce OS Update” has been added for iOS/iPadOS and MacOS. This function uses Apple declarative device management (DDM).
  This feature is supported on iOS versions 17 and newer and MacOS 14 and newer.
  Important: Starting with iOS 27 the new method must be used!
• Several new IKARUS MTD features have been added:
  • Applications can now be added directly from Infrastructure > Applications to a Whitelist.
  • Added support for iOS apps in Mobile Threat Defense > Applications.
  • SSL/https inspection feature has been added.
  • Added a button in Infrastructure > Applications to show deprecated or discontinued apps. This includes e.g. apps that are no longer available in Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
  • Added support for the Wazuh Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) integration. Wazuh is an open-source cybersecurity platform.

Other changes

• MDM clients 6.18 or older are now considered deprecated.
• “Mobile Threat Defense” tab in Users and devices and in Actions has been renamed back to “Security”.
• Search for app names in Infrastructure > Applications has been improved to make it possible to search for Bundle ID, app name (in store) and app name (entered when creating the app entry).
• More information to “Action monitor”-script in Scheduler has been added as well as checks for improper use of conditions in Operations.
• An option to set the default phone number handling has been added to Settings > System.
• New CSV import option “sim_card_handling” has been added to the user/device import to define the phone number handling for a device.
• Fixed an issue when trying to activate an eSIM with a code ending in certain letters.
• Fixed an issue with certain encodings when using CSV import in address book configuration.
• Fixed an issue where trying to wipe a device could result in an error.
• Added a validation for MSISDN in Settings > Base > Administrators to prevent administrators from entering incorrect phone numbers without country code.
• Improved some translations in German language.
• Dashboard default layout has been improved.
• Fixed an issue with the “Exception logging” permission in administrator roles.
• Added missing slot support to “Operator” information in Reports.
• “Knox Attestation” status was shown on Samsung devices without Knox.
• Fixed an issue where the expiration flag for the Microsoft Graph token was not removed after renewal, causing the token to be incorrectly shown as expired.
• Removed incorrect iOS references in Actions of macOS devices.
