Cyber Security Engineer (m/f/x) – EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response)

At IKARUS, you will work at the forefront of cybersecurity: from integrating state-of-the-art EDR systems (Endpoint Detection and Response) to analyzing and containing security incidents. If you bring technical expertise, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for IT security, you’ll fit right in with our team.
Your mission:
- Take joint responsibility for the integration of IT security sensor systems in customer environments
- Install, configure, and maintain EDR platforms and other security systems
- Perform troubleshooting and error analysis in EDR operations and resolve issues together with customer
- Contribute to the preparation and deployment of demos, test runs, and Proof of Value (PoV) projects
- Support the resolution of internal security incidents through live response procedures
- Assist our customers during pre- and post-sales activities
Your qualifications:
Must-haves:
- Expertise in information technology and cybersecurity, with up-to-date knowledge of industry practices and standards
- Solid understanding of complex networks, operating systems, and network technologies
- Experience with malware analysis, including sandboxing and both static and dynamic analysis
- Proficiency in Python
- Fluency in German and English
Nice-to-haves:
- Initial experience in customer-facing roles
- Enjoyment of analyzing, solving, and preventing problems
- Experience or knowledge in working with EDR solutions
- Completed technical education
