Spam Engine Developer (m/f/x)

As one of the leading providers of security software products, IKARUS has been established on the market for decades and has built up an enthusiastic customer base. The products developed by IKARUS as well as the partner products from Mandiant and Nozomi ensure the IT security of numerous clients daily. To professionalize our services around our CIT (Change & Improvement Team) and to further develop our spam engine, we are looking for you.

Your mission:

Your main task will be the further development of our in-house developed anti.spam engine
Analyze potential spam/malicious emails as well as identify global spam trends and methods
Identify patterns and define rules to further improve and maintain the spam engine
Research best practices and new technology to further increase our detection rate
Rebuild our anti.spam processes and environment
Help shape a newly formed team in terms of technology

Your qualifications:

Expertise with Python and/or C++
Fluent in German and English
Optionally: Basic knowledge of how the email format is structured and how the delivery system works
Ideally: You are a diligent, reliable, and committed person, able to work within a team and independently if needed
