For our Managed Defense Team at IKARUS we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cyber Security Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Cyber Security Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our organization’s information assets. You will be responsible for the analysis, detection, and response to cyber threats, as well as providing guidance and expertise in developing and implementing effective security measures. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of current cyber security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices, along with strong analytical, and communication skills.

Your mission:

Analysis of cyber security threats, vulnerabilities, and incidents, utilizing advanced tools and techniques to identify and mitigate risks
Conduct in-depth analysis of security logs, network traffic, and system activity to detect and respond to emerging threats
Stay updated on the latest cyber security trends, threats, and technologies, and provide recommendations for security improvements based on industry best practices
Provide leadership and mentorship to junior security analysts, assisting in their professional development and knowledge enhancement
Prepare and deliver reports to management and stakeholders, summarizing the organization’s security posture, ongoing security incidents, and recommended actions

Your qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus
Extensive experience in cyber security analysis, incident response, or a related role, preferably in a complex enterprise environment
In-depth knowledge of cyber security principles, methodologies, and best practices, including network security, application security, access controls, and data protection
Strong understanding of security technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), intrusion prevention systems (IPS), endpoint protection, and security information and event management (SIEM) solutions
Proficiency in using cyber security tools and technologies for threat detection, analysis, and incident response
Hands-on experience with penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and security assessment tools
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework)
Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC are highly desirable
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex security concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
